Injecting Javascript

Hi, Just wondering what the limitations are on injecting javascript though the "eval" function. I know this not recommended practice and you're probably going to tell me all the reasons why I should be injecting Javascript. I'm more just interested to understand what Titanium does when it compiles and whether all the titanium functions are just as available through an eval'd function or whether certain functions are blocked for security reasons.
